So I currently have a 'GTX 650 1GB' GPU and a 'AMD FX 4300 Quad Core @3.8ghz'.
My birthday is tomorrow and I was going to get a new CPU 'AMD FX 8370' and i thought that I might want to get a new GPU since mine isnt the greatest. I wanted to get better frames on games like 'DayZ' and 'Arma 3'

Budget is around $200

To your concern: what's your budget for the upgrade? I see that it is a birthday present but still, what price range are we talking about? Also, what motherboard do you have? What Power Supply and what resolution do you play on?

who cares...

**inner thoughts

If I upgrade the CPU it's won't effect my games performance and if I upgrade The GPU the CPU will bottleneck it a little bit but I will notice some performance improvement until I save some money and Upgrade my CPU

P.S. I never played those games so I dunno whether they are CPU intensive of not

you can`t put an FX 8 core on that mobo,it will blow up.and it wont really matter for the games you play.intel is better especially for those

so get a new gpu but what brand is the psu?

I have been in this position and trust me when I say, get the GPU. When the biggest reason you use your PC for gaming it is always best to get a new GPU and then a new CPU and or Motherboard.

yeh im going to go with the gpu considering i would have to get a new mobo and most likely a new psu too just to get  a new cpu so im not going to cheap out on that when i get them and really i just want to get playable fps on arma and standalone so like the minimum of 30 in cities vs the 20 i get now witch i think i will be able to get with the 760
