Has anybody here made a mod for Skyrim? How hard will it be to create an oxbow lake do you think?(if its even possible.). Currently watching the Bethesda official Creation Kit tutorial.

I don't imagine it's easy, and it doesn't really fit in the game easily either.

if you have skills in 3d model making,  NOT HARD!

make the terrain, and the texture, and then port it into a mod file, and if you want it to be integrated into the main game, replace it with some default tiles,

but if you want the lake to be continuous, you need to rethink the map of skyrim, and needs it to be logical

sounds doable. question: isn't river textures already in the creation kit?

Skyrim is the most mod friendly game engine you can get imo

 

the mere nature of the game makes it very modder friendly - DLC's and patches are applied in the same way any user-made mod is. no matter what you do to is, the base game is untouched - every single change is made from an external file and it merely makes changes to the master without altering the master file itself. I just find the whole structure of it pretty fascinating from a design standpoint

I love skyrim though i wish i had a beefier gpu for them graphical mods
