5.1 true surround sound headset

hi, i am looking for a true surround sound headset and i need help finding one at  .....

 

any suggestions?

5.1 headset, especially for that price, have INCREDIBLY crappy sound quality.

 

you can get stereo headset and with virtual surround ( dolby, you can get cheap xonar dg or better ) you can achieve really good positioning.

 

Just get Superlux 681 evo + xonar sound card + clip on microphone

 

Maybe your mobo allready support dolby surround tho.

but i want the ability to pin point people on fps... is virtual good for that?

p.s. i don't really  care abut sound quality as long as its not hurrably  bad

I am likely going to get my head ripped off for saying this but i find the sound quality on the razer tiamat 7.1 headset to be very acceptable. It does takes a lot of tweaking to get it balanced and it really improves the soundstage plugging them into a decent sound card.

 

They are a smidge over your budget but i thought I'd chip in my 2 pence anyway, plus shop around and I'm sure that you could pick them up at a hefty discount. The are by no means a 'new' product.
