PowerColor TurboDuo Video Card r9 290 Should I get it or 970 strix?

So I was originally going for a gtx 970 strix but then i saw I can get a new powercolor turboduo r9 290 for $150.  Yea its a deal but what should I do, get the strix that's for $350?

 

If you have this card or know about this card can you tell me your experience. thank you

I don't think that TurboDuo cooler is up for the task to cool off Hawaii chip, correct me if i'm wrong.

Depends on whether you want the pc to be quiet and cool or you want to pocket the extra $200. Performance should be pretty similar otherwise. Another possibility is to put $100 out of that $200 into a kraken g10/cheap aio. That would probably get you the best performance for $100 less than the 970

Why not get 2 can Xfire them? 970 is gonna cost in the 350 dollar range, 2 290 in Xfire is gonna cost 300.

I was planning on getting the H 240x already so is adding that to the loop fine?

Buy the 290 and resell it at a higher price for profit.

How loud would it be?  I don't play that many heavy usage games but I wanted to get a card that would handle games.   Also looking at it maybe I can put a water block on it later when I get more funds.

more than fine aha. That would probably work quite well. You might want to add another rad to the mix as well though...
