Hello!

I am in the seek of a new rig, and I have found everything except the GPU. I do not play many games, but if I get any games with the graphics cards, I will gladly play them. But I wonder what card to get? I want this card to play most games out there on preferably the best graphics on 1920x1200, but I also edit videos, so I guess CUDA means something there?

I have guessed around 670/680 or the 7950/7970, but the AMD missing CUDA makes me wonder.

any thoughts?

MEH

Cuda is more useful in video editing more then it is in most games. If you do video editing then I would go with the 670 but if you can do with out go with a 7950, Best bang for your buck. unless money is no object then I would shoot for the moon and get the 680 witch would be perfect for video editing as well as gaming or the 7970 witch would be better just for gaming if you get the higher end 7970's, Witch ever one you find more useful to you and your needs.

What games do you get with the GeForce cards ? Also, what kind of performance do I achieve with CUDA? I would like to have the pre-edited stuff played back smoothly, so i do not need to put out the resolution to 640x480
I think you can still get Borderlands 2 with some Nvidia cards. I do a bit of video editing and CUDA acceleration works great in Adobe Premiere. Cuts down rendering times by quiet a bit in some applications.

Good choice, Nivdia cards will also completely out fold comparable AMD cards. If you're into that folding @ home thing lol

If you're really into video-editing, you should get an NVIDIA Quadro GPU, but that isn't a gaming card. So if you want to combine gaming and editing, I would go for an NVIDIA GC that fits your budget. When gaming is more important then editing, you should also consider rockin' an AMD beast instead of an NVIDIA counterpart.
