Well that kind of depends, some backlit keyboards are absolutely amazing, and others are horrifyingly bad. It really depends on the model. But the backlight itself is amazingly nice to have, especially at LAN parties and things were it tends to be a bit darker. Is it a must have? Absolutely not, but it is nice.

Hi!

What are your thoughts of backlit keyboards? Would you recommend it or no?

Thank you

Personal experience not really worth it.

K70 blew LED's and I sent it back.

Always have a light on in your room, otherwise it strains your eyes.

The Corsair RGB apparently fixes the dieing LED issue.

Depends what you are after honestly.

Depends on your usage...

I mostly use my PC at night, with the lights off so backlit keyboards are a must...

Don't get something too expensive... Just get something that you think you need...

Yes they are kinda usefull, but I heard that they aren't good for your eyes. I may as well use my room lights to see the keys and I'm also trying to learn how to type without looking at the keys. But they are coll tho.

Longboarders/ skaters message me!

I read otherwise, actually. There's a lot of people having issues with dead leds.

I don't know if I'd necessarily recommend one but my Ducky Shine looks great with purple backlighting. It's an unnecessary but cool feature.
