Issues with downgrading from windows 10.

I recently built a new computer and i thought I'll use this one to test out the new operating system. I use this computer on the weekends and I've had driver issues with a few games so i want to revert back to windows 8.1.

 

I have tried installing while the computer is on, i get "Windows 8.1 has failed to install". It won't boot through usb or dvd.

Why won't it boot through USB? Can you enter the BIOS?

I can get into BIOS and i changed the boot order a few times.

So, you've obviously done a fresh install, correct?

A fresh install? I installed a week or two ago. Do you want me to reinstall windows 10 ?

So you had 8.1 before and then decided to install 10.Now you want to go back to 8.1, but you can't?

Yeah, I was going to do it in virtualbox, but I decided that i would say fuck it since i wouldn't be using it much it would be fun to experiment.

So how did u install 8.1 in the first place. Do u have the 8.1 disc?

Install from disc instead from usb.

As I said I've tried a disc already, it didn't even try to boot to them

Try boot order override and then boot from the disc.
