So I bought a Razer Mamba about a year and a half ago, and have been using it on my secondary computer until last month with absolutely no problems wireless or wired. I was having issues with my main computer's R.A.T. 7 so I grabbed the Mamba and brought to my main computer and used it wired for a while with no problems. A couple weeks ago I figured I would try it wirelessly, as soon as I plug I the reciever in, Razer Synapse completely freezes and becomes entirely unresponsive. If I try plugging it in with synapse closed, then open it, the window doesn't even appear, the icon is in the taskbar though with no options available (no menu appears).

I have tried uninstalling synapse, and removing any trace of it in the registry, then reinstalling, nothing was fixed. I have also tried updating the firmware of the mouse and the reciever, but the firmware updater doesn't detect the mouse (which I've read is not an uncommon issue) and the updater requires updating the mouse first.

Realistically, I am not too worried because I've only really used a wired mouse when at a desk, so I'm used to it anyway.

This post is pretty much just to see if anyone might have any recommendations/ideas to fix this... And don't bother just saying get a new mouse because razer sucks (Thats many people's opinion and I know that already, I like Razer.)

I think this has something to do with drivers from other peripherals. There is a problem like this with the Logitech software. Perhaps uninstalling the rat7 drivers solves the problem.

I once had one of these, now I've got this.

I don´t get it why Razer won´t invest in someone fixing Synapse because it is their biggest flaw, but still manage to release unspectacular versions of chroma products no one really cares about.

For the Firmware Updater you must check which version of the Mamba you own. I think there are like 3 different ones and 2 different Updaters.

Totally Rad Dude!   :D

I uninstalled the Rat drivers as soon as I stopped using it, and as far as I can tell on the razer site there is only one firmware updater available. And I have the "2012" version of the Mamba, if there is more than one of that year I don't know how to tell the difference. Thanks for the fast responses, and sorry I took so long to reply.
