Upgradeable Build Planning
Go to solution
Solved by Shadow Storm,
Ok. So. Asus Z97-C on sale for $149, It doesn't support SLI. By the time I have enough $$$ to SLI I would've built a new system in a new case and probably throw a custom loop on it. Should I jump on it? There also seems to be less cooling on the VRM's around the CPU socket compared to the A model which is the only thing holding me back. Will it still hold up to 4.6GHz on lets say an i7? (I wouldn't go above that even if I had a golden sample) Quick answers appreciated..

This also means I can spend less on a PSU, 550W will be plenty for a 980 or 970.
