High frequency memory is a waste of money, just get like a 1600 MHz kit and save yourself some money.

Apart from that, this looks like a solid build.

helped building up the CPU Overclocking Database and GPU Overclocking Database, check them out ;)

Don't get a WD Red as they are designed for NAS. I would suggest a WD Blue.

H105/H110 over a H100i

Try and get a better psu. The RM is okish but you can usually get better for the same/less money. Have a look at the EVGA Supernova G2 if they are available to you. If not then XFX XTR, Seasonic G or Coolermaster V series are all good.

Any thoughts on the seasonic x 750? Will I be able to get away with a 650 psu with that build? Thanks for your help guys.

If you can get the Seasonic G 750W that would be cheaper. If you don't plan on adding a 2nd graphics card in the future, then a 500W-550W would be enough.

CPU + MO: Asus Maximus VII Hero Z97 & 4790k (655 USD)

MAXIMUS IS A WASTE OF MONEY. GET AN ASROCK EXTREME4 OR ASUS Z97A

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 1600MHz CL11 (188 USD)

CL11 1600MHZ? THAT'S GARBAGE. CL8 OR 9 IS OK FOR 1600 BUT 11 IS TRASH.
GPU: ASUS GTX 970 4GB DCU II DDR5 (470 USD)

THE GIGABYTE G1 OVERCLOCKS BETTER
CPU Cooler: CORSAIR H100i CPU COOLER (120 USD)

THERE ARE BETTER ONES. THE NZXT KRAKEN IS BETTER

PSU: CORSAIR RM 750W 80+ GOLD (145 USD)

RM PSUS HAVE A HIGH FAILURE RATE. LOOK AT EVGA SUPERNOVA OR SEASONIC
Case: CORSAIR 750D (210 USD)

WHY DO YOU NEED THIS GIANT CASE? GET A 300R SAVE SOME MONEY.
SSD: Intel 520 120GB (Owned)
HDD: WD 1TB Red (70 USD)

GO FOR BLACK
Monitors: 3x DELL U2414H (860 USD, 286 USD each)
Keyboard: C.M QUICKFIRE TK RED LED (BROWN) (118 USD)
Speakers: Logitech Z553 2.1 Speakers (135 USD)

THESE ARE NOT VERY GOOD. KLIPSCH PROMEDIA 2.1 IS BETTER AND AROUND SAME PRICE.

Intel Inside. Overweight guy in his 30's outside.
