Need to replace my old Z906

SomnolenceGames

I need to replace my old Logitech Z906 system since it blew up in a puff of smoke last week.  The fuse blew and even burnt the circuit board inside when I plugged it in after moving flat.

I don't really want another 5.1 system since it just takes up so much space and oh god all the wires.

Anyway, was looking at the Creative T40s, I have a pair of the T20s for my bedroom TV and they seem pretty decent but since the T40s would be for my main PC and primarily used for Gaming I wasn't sure how good they would be especially coming from a 5.1 system.  I'm not one for the huge rumbly base shaking the floor so not too bothered by the lack of dedicated bass.

Here is a link to the speakers themselves http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Multimedia-Audiophile-Configuration-Technology/dp/B001IZZ2PO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414861382&sr=8-1&keywords=t40

Any thoughts on them or any other suggestions in the same sort of price range or even upto £100-150?
