I am planning to build a computer in the coming months and i already have the parts configuration thanks to some helpful people on this forum but I have a question.

I was talking to a friend of mine last night and he recommended that when I purchase the parts to take apart the gpu and replace the stock thermal pads and paste on it before installing and I would like to get yalls thoughts on this. Is it worth it or will it just be the same as it would without replacing those things. Below is the gpu I plan to use along with the thermal paste that I am considering.

EVGA Geforce GTX 970 4gb ACX 2.0

Artic cooling MX4 4g

You may get lower temperatures with the higher quality thermal compound. Given that though, I run my GPU with the stock stuff and it runs perfectly fine, even under strenuous loads.

cool i am starting out with a single monitor setup and only running at 1080p but eventually within a year of the build I intend to have it running 3 monitors at 1080p so when he said that it got me wandering if i should or not
