Umm.

Looks good...But where's the SSD ._.??

I would suggest spending the extra $389.99 on a 1TB Samsung EVO

no need for the 4790k, instead 4690k you don't need HT for gaming & if you stream on twitch the built-in encoder on the 980 with do the job also two 980 is over kill for the swift monitor cuz you will be hitting over 144 fps that will make the Gsync on the swift useless & if you do(2x980) turn of Gsync and use UMB mode to get smother game play

2x 980 is perfect for 1440p when considering current and future titles.I read that you get like 100 or 120 fps in bf4.No need to change the CPU.I like it.

Although a 4790K isn't needed for gaming, it's sometimes good to have the best of the best, especially if budget allows, the 4790K is more "future proof" (I say that term loosely, but you get what I mean). Same applies to the two 980s, he'll go longer without upgrading.

He has the money to spend on a 4790k, and the eight threads do help in a few games that can use them. In the future more games will start using more threads.

Also two 980s dont get over 144fps on ultra 1440p in games like crysis or other demanding stuff. This is where gsync is useful.

Sounds like a good combo.

I personally would have spent more to go with a 4TB Green WD to save on power and get more space, but that's because I usually store all my anime and movies and whatnot.

I'm a digital horder  :(

Guys can that CPU hold 2 gpus cuz of its PCIe lanes?

The Asus formula VII can definitely hold 2 GPU's as it has 2x 3.0 PCI X16 Lanes and 1x 2.0 PCI x16Lanes.

As I don't know what case you're going with can't say for physical space....but Mobo will be fine.

Yes, the 4790K has 16 PCI-E 3.0 lanes, so the cards will run at 8x 8x (Which is not bad, go look at Linus's video about it). You'll be fine.
