Are JLab Earbuds worth it?

justintech16

Hello.

I'm looking around for some decent earbuds/IEMs to use as daily drivers when not at home. I like accuracy, no extreme bass or anything. My budget is around $60ish.

I noticed that, today only, there is a sale on JLabs earbuds at Amazon. 80% off! This made me wonder if JLabs are worth the money, even at 80% off.

What do you guys know about them? Or should I hold out for something better? If so, what would you recommend?

Edit: Here is a link to the Amazon page with the sale.

They're just rebranded OEM stuff. Looks similar to MEElectronics.

There' should be plenty of good stuff under budget - Do you know or care what kind of sound signature you'd prefer? Any other factors you can think of to narrow down the playing field?

Ummm....Ideally, this is what would be perfect to me:

I'd probably prefer a flat sound signature. Don't need a built in mic. Relatively good noise isolation/cancellation. Great sound. Not really preference towards a particular brand.

I've owned a lot of their earbuds because their warranty was so great. They used to replace any earphone that you break and they don't even ask how they broke or have you send it in. But that's gone now and their's been speculation that they falsified amazon reviews and they don't sound particularly great so I would go with something else like Soundmagic E10s.

This. I used to own some pair back in the day and the sound quality is subpar, as well as they break really easily ( I have had so many replacements from one side going out that it wasn't worth it anymore). I would suggest the SoundMagic E10 with comply tips, or one that I haven't tried that are apparently pretty good for cheap are the Xaomi Pistons.

Alright. Cool! I'll give the E10 a try then.

......Except I've never used comply tips before. I don't really know much about them.

They are just memory foam tips that help isolate sound, and are easier to get a complete seal with. Are not really required, but are a decent investment.

I was gonna vote VSD1S, but wateva.

I am curious to try the VSD3S, but I don't really NEED to since I only require 1 pair of IEM's and mine do quite well.

I think the 3 is supposed to be more bassy, but we haven't seen measurements for it yet. It's only 45 bucks on some random website which I don't have the link for because le mobile.
