Cheap server for minecraft

Me and some friends want to build a server, but i don't know nothing about server and i wanted to know what would be needed for a not so expensive server for minecraft for at least 300 users and minimum crashes.

For one that can support 300+ users you're gonna need at least 8GB of ram, which will cost $70+ a month.

 

Personally I use NodeCraft, Great service, very powerful server host.

300 users and cheap are not going to go well together, it's that simple.

at least 16 gigs of ram, and and SSD so the players dont get lag, and a good ISP

This is the cheapest server hosting I have found. https://websound.co.uk/minecrafthosting.php . Of the two people I have talked to about customer support, one has refused to help me in any was shape for form, and the other did everything I asked and more.

Not to mention that if you plan to run the server off donations, you better have plenty of cash saved up for months when the servers donations shit out on you.
