Opinion Game PC?

Hai guys,

 

I want your opinion about a build I want to buy.

 

Processor: Intel Core i5 4690k.

 

Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i.

 

Memory:Crucial 8 GB DDR3 1866 Kit.

 

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97-D3H.

 

Graphics card: EVGA Geforce GTX980.

 

SSD/HDD: Crucial MX100 256 GB / Western Digital Black 2 TB

 

DVD Burner: I still burn dvd's :P Lite-On iHas324-04.

 

PSU: Corsair CS650.

 

Case: Fractal Design Define R4.

 

Monitor: BenQ 24" Gaming Monitor RL2455HM.

 

Keyboard: Logitech Gaming Keyboard G105.

 

Mouse: Corsair Vengeance M65 FPS.

 

Have about 1700 euros to spend.

I would change a few things:

 

- The corsair H100i has mounting issues, get the corsair H105 instead.

- I would go for a slightly better PSU for 2-way SLI support in the future. THe EVGA G2 750W is the perfect choice for this.

- I would go with the Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 980 but I'm biased. I just love mine :P

- Maybe a few extra casefans. Noiseblocker PK-3, Noctua NF-A14/15 are good choices.

I don't believe that the thick (63mm) h105 will mount easily in the R4. According to http://www.overclockers.com/fractal-design-define-r4-mid-tower-case-review there is about 50mm between the top of the case and motherboard. The h100i is 52mm thick so it will overhang the motherboard by 2mm. A tight fit but doable for most (but not all) motherboards. Although the position of the ATX12V power connector will make things a little tricky on the GA-Z97-D3H.

 

I would suggest an H80i or Kraken X41 cpu cooler instead.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
