Recommendations for new gaming GPU.

I'll be buying them in a month or two. I game only on a 2560x1440 monitor and already have a 7970 to crossfire with. AFAIK most bugs and stuff with xfire have been ironed out, but before I dropped some money on them thought I'd get the opinion of some other people.

Tossing up between 970, 2x 280x or a 780. Also I can get a 780ti for $570, is it worth the price?  I want best price to performance to reliability. Don't really want to have to upgrade in the next 2 years or so. I'll sell my 7970 to help fund the other GPU's.

I saw someone selling 2 7970s on ebay for like $400 a few months ago. Would've been perfect for a cheap tri-xfire

 

I'd go for the nvidia cards. Low TDP = Runs Cooler = Overclocks through the fucking roof.

R9 295x2 > gtx 980 > gtx 780ti > r9 290 > gtx970 >r9 280x

I don't think your in a rush to change GPU

By all means If possible wait for 390x??

If not get gtx 980

The mfaa will be good and they have better features now compared to amd
