hi all,

im getting a 2 new ssd'd. i want to make a raid (which is best for os-raid 1 or raid 2?), ive been told to make a disc image then install from that to new hdd's the do a repair.

i want to keep all my settings like desktop and save files which is why i didnt want to da a clean install and also as im using 3 other driver for different work. all i have on C drive is windows and saves and important docs.

hope i havnt missed out anything.

I get the feeling you mean raid 1 or raid 0. If the stuff on your OS drive is meaningful to you, either back it up on another drive or run raid 1. If you're just looking for performance gains and can afford to possibly lose the raid array, run raid 0.

yes i did mean 1 or 2 sorry.

not really worth it then?

i forgot to mention im getting new mother board also.

my friend says if i keep the same drive just install new hardware then do a repair from a disc image back up after i boot from adding ew hardware.
