so many people say they get huge say they got a big performance jump on minecraft after they downloaded java 1.8  but when i go on to minecraft with it downloaded and press F3 it says its a 32bit java version so why is there a big performance jump with it?

Are you talking Java 1.8 or Minecraft 1.8? I'm on like Java 1.6 or something still.

Try the 64-Bit version? I believe thats much better in MC providing you're running a 64-Bit OS.

well i asked @Enderman if he could give me the link to the download for java 1.8 and he did so i downloaded it and it was the 32bit so i'm not sure if there is a 64bit out yet

there is, just google java offline for windows, and there's a 64 bit version
