Google Chrome download speed limiter?

Hey guys so I have probably a simple fix, yet google search after search shows no helpful results. 

 

So I have 120/mbps download internet, everything from steam to origin download relatively fast obviously with their own limiters but no where near as bad as chrome. 

Downloading something online using chrome just from the eye only looks like it's downloading at about 1/mbps which is ridiculous! If there's anyway I can up that or even if I'm screwed and there's nothing I can do please let me know! Thanks guys.

It's because the sites servers don't have enough upload to give you 120Mb/s downloads. Steam and Origin put a lot of money into good servers so that everyone can have good download speeds.

well then my area is fucked cause steam peaks at 750kbps and i have a  5mbps down

Whereas Steam and the likes have their own Content Delivery Network, for chrome it's up the the site you're visiting.

Each site is on a different server with different performance. Some sites I can download at 11MB/s, some sites don't even get to 100KB/s.

 

I suggest you to download a big file from a site which is known to have a good CDN to see if it really is chrome or not.

Example of a known good CDN download: http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-59183.iso (Yes, this is legal.)
