Fresh Windows install problems

Go to solution Solved by Lancer14711,

I seemed to have resolved the issue.

I used the Motherboard support disc to install all necessary drivers and utilities.

Then installed the 344.48 graphics driver.

Aero effects are back and windows experience index completed without issue

Steam games are working as well.

I re-installed windows yesterday.  Since the re-install I have encountered quite a few problems.

  1. Aero effects are not supported (Running GeForce 344.11 driver)
  2. None of my steam games will launch.
  3. AI suite III and GPU tweak wont launch. (tried running as admin)
  4. Windows experience index won't compute score.
  5. Windows update fails to configure update reverting changes

Sorry if I've missed anything but really need some help.  Right now my PC is nothing more than a glorified music player.

You will need to install all your motherboard's drivers (if you haven't done so already)

Make sure you go to the website to get the latest.

What windows OS did you install?

Windows 7 home premium 64-bit

What OS did you download and what is the source of the .ISO?

It could be a bad install/driver.  Maybe reinstall it? (With a different .ISO?)

Re-installed with Disc

Am in the process of installing them

After you're done, restart the PC and see if that changes anything.

Can you access the internet? If so, your PC should be able to search for updates.

Yeah you will need to install all the motherboard drivers first, then GPU drivers and software.

Also when you try to install the windows updates are you trying to do them all at once or one at a time?

Ah that might be where I went wrong, I installed the graphics driver first

And windows updates have sorted themselves out
