Speaker static only through computer

Go to solution Solved by bvm1228,

Yes it is a 3.5mm jack. I have the Asrock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional motherboard and my speakers are cheap Insignia speakers

I just had to change out my motherboard and now when I connect my speakers to the computer, I just get static. I have tried using my phone and the static goes away. I have installed and uninstalled the drivers that are on my motherboard companies website and that doesn't fix it either.

I guess you're connecting via 3.5mm, but could you still give us some more details on what you are using? (Motherboard, speakers, connection)
