Keyboard buying help

Hello everyone, I'm new here and this is my first ever post here.

I am looking to replace my Logitech Illuminated keyboard for $60 to $70 max. I'm not familiar with any other brand but Logitech. I don't game too much just few FPS and racing titles. I am looking at Corsair K40 but need to know how's the performance of it. are the keys softer and nicer than my keyboard which is not comfortable with tying for me. also I want more backlight colors like red etc.

you sir need to look into mech keyboards, which will take some looking and searching and going to a store and trying out different switches, or you can go for some crappy dome keyboard, since you dont like the scissor switches in that logitech one, and for typing if thats your main thing, i will start by recommending blue or brown Cherry MX switches.
