What did you like about old computers

I have more to add, just so I can say more. I miss hearing hard drives load. I miss how every PCB was basically the same green. I miss all of the miscellaneous crap that was on PCBs. I miss being able to throw near-top-end components together, throw in a 350 watt PSU, and barely make the PSU emit heat. And I really miss being able to throw a fan controller in and drop all the fans to 5-6 volts and not have to worry about anything getting hot.

Now I need to pull the Windows 98 computer out of my garage that's been sitting for like 8-9 years.. If it powers up, I'd just like to see what all is installed on it and what to do with it.. It has it's CRT next to it with the speakers it came with on it. I do miss the pinball game XP had.

Actually I turn on my old pc from time to time just to listen to that sound. Then when it's booted up I either mess around in win 2000 a little or just shut it down again.
