Hi all, I'm building a new rig, but I don't know what graphics card I should buy... I will have core i5 3750k, 16gb of corsair RAM, Z77A-G65 gaming, and PSU that I will need. I have budget about 400$. I'd like to have Nvidia or Radeon chip. Just one card... No SLI please :D

well if you can go a bit above the $400 mark the 770 is a great option, i think ive seen them around for about $430 if thats manageable in your budget

The GTX 770 and HD 79700 (Ghz edition) are Both great choices.

 

They are around the 400-450 mark.

is not that you need one, but the minimum PSU that i recommend buy to you (and to all to) is a 650w PSU (a true gamer PSU), and nothing less that that (no 600w, no 550w, no 500w, simply "don't waste your money" in these ones)

then a 7950 or a 7970 will be a great choices

7950/7970 or a 770 would be very good.  I think 760 ti may come out soon, you could get one of those aswell, I expect them to be slightly ahead of a 7950 maybe

A good 650w is what you need unless you plan to SLI, CFX later

Great choice, a 850w can move a 7990 or even a GTX 780 easy   B) (it have good amps)

You can only SLI the same core card i.e GTX 780 can only be SLI with a GTX 780.

I suggest Seasonic Platinum 660W modular. I have one and it is ................. (no words to describe), the fan never spins i have 5870 Radeon and it takes from the wall for the entire system 350W and that is with prime, furmark and all (cpu 3570k @4.4GHz), so 850W (for a good brand) is an overkill for crossfire, let alone for single GPU :)

7970 is a very good choice and it is what I would get.

i would go with the GTX 770 and find a reference design just for the looks  :lol: but pretty good card i should say.

Ok I think I will decide between GTX 770 and Radeon HD 7970 ghz, cause I think one of those will be best for my setup ... Thanks everyone !!!
