Could it work? Where can I buy stained glass that you can still see through?

Would this work?http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008CNOKLC?cache=3507b84200e4588b3fc69e3405199f23π=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&qid=1414184838&sr=8-46#ref=mp_s_a_1_46

If you just want it to be colored then go for colored acrylic.

Not too sure where you could find stained glass that you can see through, I don't think the one you linked would work very well, not to mention you would have to cut it down to the right size, and I'm sure cutting glass is very very difficult and is easy to break.

That looks to be a translucence, which won't really let you see inside. And are you trying to make a stain glass designed window like you see in churches and older buildings or just a full sheet of stain glass?

As for glass try looking around locally if there are places that do stain glass since there is such a large variety of stain glass patterns/textures, and colors not including transparent to opaque or a mix of both you can narrow down specific ones that would match your needs.
