Question about SLI Bridge

Go to solution Solved by connorpiper,

1. Depends on the Motherboard. And the size. If you get a 2x SLI ATX one you will get a single extended bridge.

2. The 700 series bridges work with 900 series.

Also, Nvidia sells them.

I understand that an SLI bridge usually comes with the motherboard, but is it a standard length bridge or is it the extended bridge (to allow some breathing space for the two GPUs)? Also, the bridge doesn't vary by GPU line, correct? As in, the bridge that worked for the 780 will work for the 980?

An SLI bridge is an SLI bridge, they all serve the same function and are backwards and forwards compatible.
