2 psu 1 case

Hey, I think im goin´ to crossfire my 280x Dir. Cu II Top(Asus) with another one but i only have an 600 w powersupply. I have another 500 w from my old pc, can I use it 2 power only my gpu. Power isnt a problem and i have room, both for the psu and for the cable 2 go out. Is there something I need 2 do for both the psu 2 start, or will it not work at all?

It could work but you would need to jump the 24pin of the second PSU each time at the right time for your other card to post correctly.... I highly suggest you dont do this

You need to use a dual PSU adapter like this one:

it will start the two PSUs at the exact same time

Yes but you need to make sure that both PSUs are plugged in, and that their fan is not obstructed.

I don't know where you are going to put them, but two PSUs will not fit in your case unless you have something as huge and expensive as a caselabs case.

its safer, easier, and you get to brag more.

honestly. even adapters are a bad idea.

they work fine, but its just not worth it if all you're doing is adding more to that PSU when you could get a better PSU and upgrade yet again in the future.

I will have room in my case 2 exhaust it out the back or the front if i remove the front panel cover. I can also have it outside my case and route the cables into the lowest of my pci slots. I will also cover the psu fan with a fan cover or build a special case out of wood or metal(propably) where i can store it. If i am laning i usually bring my laptop anyways so that wont be a problem. But do u have any tips for the software problems if they occur?

Ye but i dont have that money right now, mby for xmas. But we will se. I mostly wanted 2 know if this was possible at all, we will see if i do it, and if i succede I will help others with it.

There are no software problems because this is a hardware modification. It will work perfectly with no issues as long as you plug everything in the right spot.

All you have to do is bridge the green and black wire on the 24 pin cable on your second PSU with a paper clip.
