hi guys this is a build for a friend http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/r779nQ hte gpu is obviously a 970 don't hate I havn't changed yet and I'm searching for a mini itx am3+ to fit our case (don't tell me get an other case we have this one we keep it)

Mini ITX AM3+ boards don't exist. Even mATX AM3+ boards barely do and the ones that do exist suck

Desktop: Intel Core i5 2380P (2400 w/o iGPU), MSI H61, 8GB RAM, 256GB SP610, 500GB WD Blue, HIS R9 280, Antec TruePower Classic 550W, Inwin MANA 134, QNIX QX2710, CM QuickFire Rapid, Logitech G402

 

Laptop: Toshiba Satellite L40D, AMD A6-6310, 6GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Radeon R4 Graphics, 14" 1366x768

Yeah sorry the smallest mobo for AM3 is micro atx

Asus made a mITX board many moons ago, but I cant find it nowadays.

There are no mITX AM3+ motherboards. AM1 and FMx, yes. But those are different platforms with much lower performance (at least compared to the FX-6300 and higher).

FX will fit in it  (EDIT: I think?)

 

But where do I buy the damn thing?

FX will not work since it requires AM3+

 

They should make this board again, since it should be able to handle the 95W 8320E with an AM3+ socket and a BIOS update

Ahh, thanks.

 

JJ from Asus did a few interviews and people always ask him about this board, but he says noone liked it when it came out, so they wont bother redoing it.
