Hard Drive Partitioning Help/Advice

Hey guys I recently partitioned my hard drive (first time). My OS (Windows 7) on 1 partition and my programs on another. My question is that when I want to format Windows and I format and reinstall Windows on partition it's already on, will my programs work after the partition or would I run into some problems and have to delete them and reinstall???

Any help would appreciated. Cheers.

i can put google chrome on usb and it works on all the computers i have tried , so i would think it will work

Some will still work. However some applications that leave stuff in the windows registry won't.

I am not sure exactly what your setup is, but I do two partitions as well except I put the OS and programs on one and personal documents and alike on the other. That is what I would do, it really helps to avoid breaking things like that.
