I'm getting 60oc while running no overclocks. I have 3 intakes and one exhaust. 1 140mm In the front (Contsricted) 2 140mm In the top and 1 140mm in the back (Exhaust). I know that 60oc isn't bad but my GPU get's 35 and I would want to overclock when possible.. Also. The CPU used to run at about 35 while overclocked but that was when it was over a cooling vent. All of these temps are while just browsing the web.

It's while browsing the web and watching youtube videos... I'm running with the stock cooler that came with my A8-6600K

I just switched my case so it's all dust clean.

60C is terrible if you used to get 35C. Are you sure the fan is spinning on the stock heatsink? Are you sure the heatsink has not come loose some how? Are you trying to OC? Do you have a new fan curve for the cooler?

Maybe try re-applying your cooler with new thermal paste. My dads A10-5800k had this I had a bad cooler install.

And also get a program like HWMonitor and post a pic so we can see the voltage and such.

stock coolers arent great, did you clean the fins of the heatsink? and if you changed case a temp change aint that strange what case do you have?

ok. you said the lower temps were while sitting over a cooling vent. which would explain much lower temps. you may need to upgrade the cpu cooler if you dont have it over a cooling vent.

I'm using a NZXT Source 210. I run all my fans at 100% all the time, CPU included. I didn't clean the fins because I ran out of compressed air. It ran at 40oc over the cooling vent without the air even coming from it. So I shouldn't see a 20 degree jump from it being on a desk.

You could use a clean paint brush for the fins on the heatsink.

well even if the vent is off it could still allow more air to enter in through the bottom of the case? my guess is that in moving it you could have jostled it or something. if your going to ake the stock heatsink off anyways i suggest upgrading to the coolermaster 212 evo since it is only like 20-30 bucks.

just a question since im not too familiar with over clocking yet but isnt 1.336v a bit high? or is that normal?

Well I was thinking about moving to the world of water cooling. And getting an premade loop. Like a Hydro H110. But I was wanting to get a power supply with it to actually overclock. Do you recommend I wait until the 1st for my check or should I get a 212 and then just wait a while longer.

That's with only the boost clock at work. That's normal for an AMD A8-6600k

honestly if you want to overclock and your already getting high temps i would go with an AIO water cooler. also i would consider a stronger psu if you are going to be overclocking since even a slight glitch with an old psu could have you buying everything new.

also i do have 1 more question. do you now have your pc backed all the way up to the wall? if so then the exhaust fan may be restricted which would not allow the air to leave the case as readily as it needs which would sort of lock the warmer air inside even with all the intake fans running.

Take out the front most top exhaust.

So I should run it like this for a month or two and then get a PSU and AIO. Also. It's about 4-5 inches from the wall.
