Read him a story or give him some hot milk or even better give him some sleeping pills

"Computer won't sleep"

Beware of him that is slow to anger; for when it is long coming, it is the stronger when it comes, and the longer kept. Abused patience turns to fury.

In the sleep properties turn of wake by mouse and keyboard. Some types keep them from sleeping

Its in the advance settings for sleep. You have to right click on the properties for the mouse and keyboard In that area

The you can wake it by hitting the power button

I encountered this problem on an old build long ago, the computer would go to sleep then wake up immediatly after.

one thing you can try too is to disable the NIC (Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections > right click on your connection > disable) and then put it to sleep. From time to time, let it shut down completely too, it won't hurt it ;)
