Sennheiser PC 350 SE

Kiwi Apple
Go to solution Solved by SeanBond,

Let me add having a sound card really makes no difference anymore when compared to a good sound chip on a good motherboard which you have. I would say get one unless you had a really insane headset like the hd800's or an older motherboard. And I don't know exactly what that audio does but I know it's higher end than mine and mine can drive up to 600ohm headsets. Although I have the 363d's so I use the in line card anyway.

With your motherboard? Onboard should be more than perfectly fine.

The only thing is that the PC 350s are rated at 150 ohms and I might be wrong but I thought that you would need an amplified headphone jack for that.

As long as your motherboard is recent you'll be fine with on-board.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

What sound card would you recommend for Sennheiser PC 350 SE's

Just noticed you are moving from turtle beaches to sennheisers. Good man. You will like it.

Although you wouldn't really have fun on 600ohm with a Realtek chip at all. Leaving quality aside you wouldn't be able to push enough volume i guess. But for the purpose of OP +1 for your recommendation!

Yeah, I wouldn't actually be doing that  :P  Like I said, I would run out and buy a sound card if I had a set of HD800's but the 363d's are 32ohm.

I'd love to get my hands on a pair of HD800's one day! Don't the 363d's have an own USB Soundcard? Just asking because i'm thinking about getting those for myself.

They do have an in line sound card. They are the best headphones ive ever gotten myself.

Either get a sound card with a built in headphone amp or a AMP/DAC combo to make sure you can power the headset, cause if you can't you will lose some audio quality.
