Oh. Sorry, I didn't know that. Pretty much anything will do though. This is a cooler for CPUs up to a maximum TDP of 130W, but as long as you don't push your CPU too far it should do the trick.

That means just web browing for a month or two though, and possibly underclocking your CPU a little.  :)

212evo. It's fantastic for the price. I can have the same overclock on it as I did with my corsair h110.

Erm, I guess your h110 had some problems then.

So the evo seems to be the way to go.

Or he simply had bad luck in the silicon lottery. He said nothing about temps.

Well, I think the CPU is the same, otherwise he wouldn't have compared the performance of the two coolers. But yeah, he said nothing about temps. :)

Not really, At 1.275V I hit 62C max on a burn test with the h110, with the evo 212 I hit 83c. The only difference is temps, because either way I get acceptable temps while gaming. I have yet to see the evo 212 pass 72c while doing the heaviest gaming load. 4.4ghz is my max overclock because I have a mediocre chip. 4.5 isn't stable even at 1.378V. I dared not venture futher because burn test temps became and issue even on the corsair h110.
