Nvidia so private

We'll know when they officially announce it, just as with any company. They don't want to announce a new mid-range card when their board partners are still trying to clear out existing stock of GTX 760's and 770's. If the 970 is any indication, the 960 could render another 3-4 SKUs obsolete.

The GTX 960 will most likely be released in Q1 of 2015 due to the money they raked in with the 980 and 970. The GTX 960 will most likely be $230 to $250 unless they produce a GTX 960 Ti. The card should have about 1200 cuda cores with 3gb of GDDR5 at a clock of 1 GHz for the core and an effective memory clock of 7 GHz.

The GTX 900 series will most likely be crushed by AMD in mid-February since their new lineup of GPUs will have the technology of Nvidia's Pascal architecture they'll release in Q3 of 2016.

Either 1024 or 1280 cores seems likely - using 8 or 10 Maxwell clusters.

Maybe a 10 cluster chip - GTX 760 two clusters disabled for 1024 cores, GTX 760 ti, all cores enabled for 1280, and using 192 bit bus with 3 Gb vram, and half the GM204's rops for 32.

Linus is my fetish.
