CPU heat concerns

Go to solution Solved by Clyne,

I'm running the stock cooler on my 8320 with two fans intaking air into the case, temps will be fine.

@i_build_nanosuits had a 8350 with 2 fans as one intake and one outtake and it works fine for him but he sold that cpu for a i7.

I'm going to be upgrading my CPU from an AMD FX-6300 to an AMD FX-8350. Currently, my 6300 runs fine with the stock fan, and my machine currently has two fans (one pulling air in and the other pushing air out) and if I absolutely have to I may be able to add a third fan on the top of my case. Before I purchase the 8350, I want to be sure that it won't get dangerously hot as AMD CPUs seem to have that reputation. Will it come with a competent fan or will I have to buy a new one? Like I said, the 6300 runs completely fine so if the heat output is similar I shouldn't need to worry about it much.

Thanks so much for the support in advance. I'm relatively new to this stuff and I want to be sure I'm making good upgrade choices.

EDIT: I'm completely new to this forum so wether this belonged in this board or the Air Cooling board was beyond me.

it should be fine... it may just depend on your room temperature and if you have a cooler on or not. and season probably because in australia is 30 degrees celsius in summer and near 0 degrees celsius in winter so that will have impact as well.

Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.

As long as you're not overclocking you don't NEED an aftermarket cooler. That being said, it's better overall if you had something cheap like a Hyper 212+. You should be fine though if you're not rendering videos 24/7 or pushing it to 100% usage all the time.

RIP in pepperonis m8s
