non-boot drive causing no or lengthy boot

Just last night I decided to wipe my computer to get a fresh start and everything was fine until this morning when I restarted and windows wouldn't load.

I'm booting completely off of my SSD but this other TB HDD i have (which only had steam and gom player on it) is keeping windows from loading. The drive is probably 3 or 4 years old and is making a little noise but worked fine last night. The connections were solid as well...all of my sata cables have the little locking clips on them so i know it wasn't loose. Out of sheer curiosity I took it out of my case and my computer boots fine now. I'm completely out of ideas for this one.

Yup, Start to take the data you need from it now. Dont test it until you have done this as testing the drive may cause it to fail quicker.

Yea i think it's already gone...i can't get the computer to start at all while it's in. Why would that make my computer not boot tho? It just seems silly
