The build will be used for Sim-Racing and occasional gaming initially, but I plan on using it for virtual reality when the consumer Oculus Rift comes out, and as a Hackintosh when Yosemite comes out. I'm planning on buying an ROG Swift for it asap, I just need to be quick enough to buy one. Every time I get a now in stock notification I'm not at a computer lol.

At the time of posting this, I still haven't even installed windows, so no overclocking specs unfortunately.

  • 2 weeks later...

I was able to overclock the 4690k to 4.4GHz 1.2volts, and under stress testing the hottest core will top out at 78C. But the kicker is, the case fans are only running at ~700rpm and the DRP3 is running at ~1500rpm, making it nearly silent during full load. When gaming I can't hear the computer whatsoever over the game's sound. I absolutely love this case, and I'm looking forward to Linus' review of it.

I know it's been a while since this was posted, but I wanted to ask how the finish of the silver/grey FT05 is? Does it look as elegant in person as it does in photos? Also, how well does the color match the grey of the GTX cooler? Thanks in advance for any answers!
