Overclocking Disappeared?

Go to solution Solved by Jordan1417,

One you reset your overclock, I would see if it reverts again, and it does, I would call ASUS and/or Intel and see if they know why this would be happening. If it persists, you may be able to get a new part.

Alright, thanks for the help

So I got on my computer this morning. I originaly had my I7-4790K overclocked to 4.6 at 1.3 vcore. I notice that it seems a tiny tad slower, so I open CPU-Z and find out that it is at stock speeds. Why did my overclock just disappear?
Specs:

ASUS Z97-A Motherboard

ASUS 780TI Direct CUII OC Edition

I7-4790K

Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212 CPU cooler

8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM

WD Blue 1TB

120GB SSD

No it isn't.

My bad on that one.

Nope, not at all.

Well, any power outages recently that could've somehow f*cked up your system super bad? I can't think of much else.

Time to restart your OC process! Hopefully you remember the voltage and clock speeds you were using...

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Did you do your overclock in the BIOS, or with AI Suite?  If you did it in the BIOS, that is strange.  If you did it with AI Suite, it is going to revert back to stock/BIOS settings.

I did the overclock in my BIOS. I redone it now and restarted my pc a few times, it isn't resetting now, I guess we'll see.
