iphone "other"

Upon inspecting my iPhone in iTunes i see that 5.9 GIGABYTES of "other: is taking up my device. I tried all those steps online how to delete these files but nothing worked. Do you guys kno how to fix? thx

This is one of the reasons I hate how iTunes works, this "other" is so unspecific that it hurts. Really the only way to get rid of it is a restore.

@Killswitch49 delete emails, all your texts that you dont carry on, safari cache etc.

 

did you know images sent through iMessage/text is part of "other"?

Ive already deleted all of this and i tried that cleaning thing to no avail.

Other is the files that apps other than the stock app uses and takes up. I.e. If you cache music with Spotify, it'll take up space,for me 5 gb of space.
