My Microphone is making fart noises!

Its been going on for about a month now and now, from time to time, my microphone is making sounds that resemble farts! currently im running this setup. and form my observations, i think its not the DAC since when i unplug the xlr cable, from the DAC, the farting sounds stop.

 

MXL 990 condenser microphone---->single XLR cable -----> Focusrite Scarlett 2i2

 

Please tell em what I can do ;_;

Oh that's a shame. I hope the mic okay. It's a real beauty. It is ultra sensitive.

I think he's saying it might not be easily recordable, he'd have to get his mic and stick it between the earcups.

Ahhh, I see what you're saying.

And that sound is freakin' terrible. Jeezus, farting would be how I would describe it too.  :blink:
