Advice/help on my first PC build. Budget around £650/£700

Tintin

Build 1 or 2. What do people think? I don't plan to be doing any overclocking at all  [noob right here ;) ].

*Build one goes with an i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad-Core and a XFX Radeon R9 280X 3GB.

*Build two goes with an i3-4370 3.8GHz Dual-Core and a Zotac GeForce GTX 970 4GB   Will an un-clocked i3 be OK going forward? Will I run into problems with an i3? How long till i5 will be needed for decent performance in modern AAA gaming?

Slight change in the motherboards in the two builds - going off earlier advice.

Going to have to stay under £700 though by the looks of my finances  :( . Will be getting an SSD as soon as possible though.

Thanks in advance for any help.

But is ok.

Thanks for the advice. Nearly identical to my first list  . A few changes as suggested by yourself should save me a few quid. Much appreciated.  :)

I'll let you know how it turns out. I'm a massive procrastinator especially when it comes to spending money.

Thanks to everyone else as well. Anyone think of any last minute changes? ....

Tintin

*wish me luck
