Formatting Second Drive

Simple Volume Works just fine, their really is no major differences., do you want to install os or just data?

Just installed another 1TB and in Disk Management trying to format. When I right click the second drive to format it only pops up with new simple volume, I've looked online cant really find anything to the exact detail of this. Any help would be appreciated. 

Specs:  CPU- AMD FX 8320 @ 3.5Ghz Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 GPU -EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked  RAM- 16GB 1600MHz (4x4)  HD- Western Digital Blue Hard Drive 1TB  PSU - Corsair CX 750M Case: Corsair 300R OS-  Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Mouse: Razer Deathadder 2013 Keyboard: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Edition 2013

Just data. I want to use the hard drive to store additional games, videos etc.

Then it is fine to use simple volume, their is no speed differncce
