OK, so I wanna make a bootable USB flash drive to install Windows 7 instead of the CD that I have.

That's all fine and good, but is there a way for me to get the most updated version of Win7 onto the USB instead of copying the one that's currently on the CD?

Or...do I have to just copy the CD and download the entire SP1 after the fact?

Thanks in advanced.

if you have the foll version rather than the OEM dvd, you can go on microsoft's website and download the .iso file, if it is an OEM dvd, then you are stuck with that paritucular version

Hi

Try downloading from this page: http://www.techverse.net/download-windows-7-iso-x86-x64-microsofts-official-servers/

After downloading the iso use windows 7 dvd donwload tool so you can make a bootable USB

Does this already include all of the updates?

The part that I hate most about a fresh install is the massive amounts of updates that follows after first boot. D:

I'm not that sure, but as the page says it is Win7 SP1, then you need to install the updates after the SP1 update.

I use Rufus to create the bootable USB drive, works flawlessly.
