Reference 980 but at that price you would be mad or on of those rich people who must have it....now!

im not rich enough to call myself rich, but I do think I have the attitude of "a rich person who wants it now."  And im currently running 3 gtx 780s, im aware that that's plenty of performance (I game on surround 5760x1200) even at this setup, but im just crazy obout the new overclocking features. I MUST HAVE IT! #richasshole

You do know that you would get the same OC features from a non-reference 980 right? You may also get better OCing ability. 3x780s is just beastly especially if you have them on water and with a custom BIOS.

I myself am waiting to see what is the cost of the or if there will be a 980/970 Ti with more than 4GB Vram to know if to get one or an SLI setup as i don't find higher SLI configurations are worth the cost.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

im less concerned about overclocking the cards as is how they just look in my computer.  If im going to spend that amount of money of a graphics card, it better be the one with the gefore logo.  And ive also never hit my overclocking limit on ANYTHING due to temperatures on air.  Then again, not the most skilled overclocker in the world.  I once got a Celeron cpu to hit 5.1Ghz stable some years ago with a fan that was as loud as a hair dryer.
