Maximum overclock h80i

Go to solution Solved by runit3,

i have an intel i7-4770k

4770k is all going to be down to chip lottery. I've only had a bad experience with one pre-Devil's Canyon Haswell, but it was a 4770k, and that thing ran hot even on a custom loop. Not much you can do about terrible TIM on die/IHS other than delidding.

Hope it's a good chip! good luck

Hey guys!!

Just ordered myself a h80i (only water cooler that could fit in my case) and was just wondering what thje maximum overclock is.

I know every cpu is different but was just wondering if you had any tips for my first ever over clock like any software which might help

or any experiences you guys have had

Many thanks in advance

James,

If you have an intel CPU, use intel extreme tuning utility to stress test for stability.
