Should I install Catalyst 14.9?

Hi there,

So, I've been getting BSODs recently... BCCode 0xa00000001 (I forgot how many zeroes but basically that)...

Completely reinstalled drivers for now...

The weird thing is that the only things I'm running up front are mIRC, Firefox, and Chrome (along with flash)...

Reinstalled drivers and running through usage tests now...

So my question is, should I risk 14.9 or stay with 14.4??

I did narrow it down to driver issues since I'm having no trouble running in safe mode...

Last I checked, 14.9.1 is still in beta...

Testing with GTAIV right now using Factory OC clocks...

Everyone with the new series of cards (R-x) have been on beta drivers since they hit the shelfs are still are.

Oxa0000001 is caused by either bad ram or your gpu not getting enough power through the pcie 16x connector. Try unplugging and replugging it and running memtest

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

Fixed it by reinstalling the drivers..

Ram is relatively new, and the system held through for a few months now... the BSODs started appearing after I put afterburner on without uninstalling trixx... Somehow ruined the drivers... It's working at factory OC with a custom fan curve right now... I'll be bumping things up tomorrow with a mild overclock + Dragon Age Origins...
