Looking for the best bang for the buck laptop

so atm i don't have a working laptop my old one died on me and i am looking for a new one for xmas what would the best bang for the buck laptop around £300 be i am willing to go over my budget but not by much i would like to be able to do some very light gaming on it such as minecraft to pastime or do you think i should just use steam in home streaming? also i would like to do some coding

Chromebooks are generally extremely good for the cost. Check out some older ASUS laptops on amazon if you need a bit more power.
