Hey all you people of the Linus community just wondering if the following parts are all compatible, also what psu's i shoul consider. My parts are as follows ( corsair 780t, gigabyte gtx 980, gigabyte ga x99 gaming 5, 16gb of g skill 2133mhz ram, 60gb ssd (for operating system), 1tb western digital HDD, corsair h100i, Intel core i7 5930k over clocked to 4.0ghz, 5 red led fans 120mm. If you are wondering why such a large motherboard and case, that is because I would eventually like to invest in more graphics cards. Thanks for all your help Linus community. :)

Youre building a really high-end system and only putting in a 60GB SSD? Get a 250GB or atleast 120GB...

Core i7 4820K  |  NH-D14 | Rampage IV Extreme | Asus R9 280X DC2T | 8GB G.Skill TridentX | 120GB Samsung 840 | NZXT H440  |  Be quiet! Dark Power Pro 10 650W

the Gigabyte x99 gaming 5 only has 5 fan headers, (2 for CPU and 3 case fan headers) so you iether buy a fan controller or you have to ditch some of the fans

Use fansplitters.

CPU: Intel I7 4790K 4.8 Ghz || Mobo: ASUS ROG Maximus Hero 6 Z87 || Ram: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB 1600 Mhz || GPU: ASUS GTX 980 Ti STRIX || Storage: 2 x SSD Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB RAID 0 HDD Western Digital 1 TB Black || PSU: Corsair AX 860 watt || Cooling: 2 x AF 140mm (front), 2 AF120 Blue LED (bottom and back), 2 SP120 (top on radiator) ||  CPU cooler: Corsair H100i GTX || Case: Corsair obsidian 750D <3 <3 <3

Hey thereWolffangs147 and welcome to Linus Tech Tips forum :)

This looks like a serious build. For the PSU, the way you built it, your rig would consume around 450W before overclocking it. Having in mind that you will OC the CPU and add more GPUs, I would say you should get a decent 850W-1000W gold-certified PSU (depending on how many GPUs you'll be putting additionally as each would add around 180W-200W to the consumption). You can ask around here for decent manufacturers and specific models.

I would also support the guys and say that you have to lose some of those fans (probably think for liquid cooling) and get a larger SSD as the OS takes up to 40GB-50GB and SSDs need 12%-15% free space to work optimally.

You could always use pspartpicker to check for compitability. Here's an example of what your build would look like there (I may have used different brands than yours since you did not specify the exact brand and model on some of the parts):

More details, preferably a pcpartpicker list, would help. For instance is the memory 4x4GB or 2x8GB? Which model of WD hdd? What psu?

You might want to consider IPS monitors. Their better viewing angle provide more flexibility in a 3 monitor setup.

Is there going to be a psu?

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
