Kill La Kill is end

So last week, having never watched any anime before, a friend recommended I watch Kill La Kill, so I decided to hop on the anime bandwagon and see what all the fuss was about.

 

I finished it and it was awesome and I don't know what to do with myself

 

Oh no my desktop background has suddenly started shuffling between Ryuko and Senketsu with the scissor blade and the whole cast enjoying some mystery croquettes what

 

Help my speakers appear to be playing the OST all the time when did this happen

 

In all seriousness though, holy crap Kill La Kill is stupid and over the top and entertaining as all Hell and everyone should watch it. While half of me really wants to see a 2nd season, the other half thinks that the 1st season was so damn good and wrapped up so well that it's probably best to leave it on a high note. I've seen a fair few threads on here about anime before, but not any about KLK (though saying that I am pretty late to the party).

Anyone else care to weigh in on one of the most deliberately ludicrous pieces of TV for a while?

i love it, best action based anime in a while, its funny, the pacing is perfect, 

 

but season 2 of psychopass has started, i recommend you watch the first, its completely different but also amazing

Ha, I'll add it to the lengthy list I have atm. The second I mentioned KLK after starting it, several other university friends popped up with "ALSO WATCH GURREN AND AKAME AND GINTAMA AND" etc.

Although the next on the list for sure is Attack on Titan.

I feel the need to necro this topic now that I've started Code Geass. I've finished season 1 and am halfway through season 2, and I've noticed a slight theme.

 

Major Geass spoilers within, obviously;

 

This show has a tendency to build things up until everything looks like it’s gonna be ok- Lelouch no don’t wipe Shirley’s memory holy crap now look what you’ve done how on earth was this ever a good idea? Well, at least it can’t get any worse.

Oh awesome, Lelouch and Euphemia are gonna collaborate to make a peaceful zone in Japan!

Lelouch: “I can make people follow any order I want, I could even say to you ‘kill all the japanese’, and you’d do it, weird right haha- shit”

Wow that was painful to witness, at least it definitely can’t get any worse now.

Oh damn Shirley has her memory back but she still forgives Lelouch for indirectly killing her dad and she still loves him, there’s finally some chemistry here I hope everything works out for these two- SHE’S DEAD ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME

This show is pissing me off, but I want to keep watching. UUUGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

At least Cornelia remains as badass as ever.

Kill La Kill is indeed kill. Although I'm kind of glad, because everything is wrapped up very nicely. If they made a 2nd season and it turned out to suck, it'd kind of ruin things. I'd rather keep the awesomeness that was season 1 and leave it at that.
